Get help with Tengu
Write to hello@tengu.work. You don’t need a Tengu account to ask, and a person answers within 2 business days.
What to send us
- Your Tengu organization’s name, and for Tengu Bot, your Slack workspace and the channel.
- What you did, what you expected and what happened instead, with the time it happened.
- A screenshot or the message Tengu showed, if there was one.
- Never a password, a sign-in code or a key: we never ask for them.
Tengu Bot in Slack
In a channel Tengu Bot is in, /tengu help shows what it can do there. In a direct message to Tengu Bot, write “help”. To link your Slack account to Tengu, run /tengu link. Tengu Bot for Slack says what it does and how to install it.
Removing Tengu Bot
Either of these removes it:
- In Slack, a workspace admin opens Tools & settings › Manage apps, picks Tengu Bot and removes it. That removes it from the Slack workspace, for every Tengu organization there.
- In Tengu, an owner, an admin or someone in Operations presses Disconnect in Admin › Tengu Bot. That removes it for your organization, and from the Slack workspace too unless another Tengu organization uses it there.
Its token is deleted at once, and so are the tokens members there gave for replies as them, and Tengu Bot stops answering for your organization. Seven days later, everything else Tengu kept of that Slack workspace for your organization is deleted: the connected channels and their docs shelves, the copies of messages, linked Slack accounts, the activity log, and call recaps with their minutes and suggested tickets. Add it back before then to pick up where you left off. Tickets, comments, files and automations your team made from Slack stay in Tengu, and so do the to-dos and notes members made from Slack messages, and meetings in Tengu, only without the channel. The privacy page has the full list.
To have it deleted sooner, or to ask what Tengu holds, write to hello@tengu.work. Members can unlink their own Slack account in Settings › Apps at any time.
